Not too long ago, I achieved my childhood dream of skydiving head first towards Earth, at insane speeds faster than a rubber-burning Maserati.
After living that childhood dream, I felt extremely accomplished. I felt on top of the world! Like I ticked off a giant checkbox on my life list! Like nothing in the world mattered anymore! I felt a pure sense of awesomeness!
After the skydiving trip and the dust settled, I had to ask myself – What now?
I felt lost. I didn’t know what great goal laid before me. I knew what I wanted to do, but I didn’t figure out who I wanted to be.
Before achieving my skydiving goal, I thought about learning other awesome skills and achieving great goals but never really committed to anything because skydiving was all I could think about. After skydiving with the skills imbued in me by working in an indoor skydiving facility for years, I have proven to myself that I am capable of doing what I have always dreamt to do. That I can be capable of achieving anything if I map out the plan, and put in the effort.
It took me a while to smash it out, but it has come to this.
Project Awesomeness is a grand, ongoing action plan of activities that I will undertake that are would push my physical, mental and spiritual limits.
The kinda stuff we see on television and go “Wow! I wish I could do that!“.
The kinda stuff that most people might feel a good amount of fear doing, but want to do.
The kinda stuff would create a sense of inspiration, and awesomeness.
This is not a bucket list. This is not a list of things to do before I die. This is an ongoing project that will chart my journey towards creating a life worth sharing and journaling. I also hope to inspire all you readers to create your own great Project Awesomeness to test your own limits, and be on a never-ending path towards feeling the sense of awesomeness.
